Evangeline Quilt Kit

Evangeline is an endless chain design, a classic quilt block based off of a hexagon. The kit is available in two different color palettes–warm (as shown in the sample) and scrappy rainbow. While making this quilt, you will explore the beauty of print, color, and shape.

Quilt Details
• Final quilt top dimensions: 97" x 100"
• Foundation Paper Piecing (FPP) Pattern

What you will receive in your Quilt Kit
• 48 Fat quarters of print Liberty Tana Lawn® (from your choice of color).
• All of the necessary FPP paper templates to create the hexagon blocks.
• 12 yards of your choice of background fabric (if you choose to receive a background fabric). Fabric will arrive in four 3-yard pieces.
• Two cutting acrylics.

Background Fabric Choices:
We have two options for background fabric:
1) Solid White Liberty Tana Lawn® (as seen in the sample quilt)
2) Mitsi Garden Tana Lawn® (a white-on-white print, creating a beautiful texture).

*If selecting White Tana Lawn® or Mitsi Garden, please note the seam allowance will be slightly visible through the front because of the fine quality of the cotton lawn.

Providing your own Background Fabric
If you choose to provide your own background fabric, some lovely options include: Liberty Tana Lawn®, linen, chambray, and solid quilting cotton. You will need approximately 12 yards of 52" wide fabric or 14-15 yards of 44" wide fabric. 

Backing and Binding Selections
These are the fabrics that we used in our Warm Sample Quilt.
Binding: 3/4 yard Capel A
Backing: 6 yards Betsy D

Backing: 6 yards (52 inch wide) or 9 yards (44 inch wide)
Binding: .75 yards (54 inch / 44 inch wide)

Instructions
General instructions will be provided by PDF, which will be emailed separately when your kit ships. We also provide two video tutorials to guide you through sewing your hexagon blocks and assembling your quilt with Y-seams.

Sewing Level
For the Evangeline Quilt, you will need to know the basics of foundation paper piecing. Foundation Paper Piecing is a lot of fun and quick to learn! We will also be sewing Y-seams to assemble the quilt.

Liberty Tana Lawn® does not need to be pre-washed before working with it. Because of the high-quality production of the fabric, shrinkage when washing is negligible.

While hang-drying is preferable, you can also tumble dry on low.

Fabric Order Returns

We regret that fabric cannot be returned as it is custom cut per order.

Non Fabric Returns

Non-fabric purchases can be returned within 30 days of delivery.
Returned non-fabric items must be unopened and in their original condition. Books cannot be returned.

Issues

Any order issues must be reported within two weeks of receipt of your purchase. Order issues will not be considered once fabric has been cut or washed. Please check all items upon receipt and contact us if there is any problem with your purchase. 

US Shipping

We ship via USPS or UPS unless otherwise requested during checkout. USPS packages are currently arriving in 2-10 business days for domestic deliveries.  

International Shipping

International shipping costs are calculated at checkout.

DHL is currently arriving in 3-5 business days.

First Class Package International is currently arriving in 2-6 weeks. For more up to date information on shipping times contact us.

International Customs and Taxes

Customs, duties, taxes and other related fees are not included in your shipping costs.  These fees are determined by your country when ordering internationally. Please be aware of any additional costs that may be applicable to your purchase before ordering. Orders returned to DuckaDilly due to unpaid duties are not refundable. If your order is returned to us, we will reach out regarding any applicable reshipping
fees.
