What is the smallest cut off the bolt?
The smallest cut we offer for Tana Lawn® off the bolt is a quarter yard (or a fat quarter), which is 9".
What is a Fat Quarter, Fat 8th, and Fat 16th?
A fat quarter is the same amount of fabric as a normal quarter yard cut but has different dimensions. A normal (or long) quarter yard cut is 9” x 52” and a fat quarter cut is 18” x 26.”
A fat 8th is half of a fat quarter. It measures approximately 18” x 13.”
A fat 16th is half of a fat 8th. It measures approximately 9” x 13.”

Do you sell fabric swatches?
The smallest cut that we sell is a quarter yard.
Tana Lawn® Washing Care
Liberty Tana Lawn® does not need to be pre-washed before working with it. Because of the high-quality production of the fabric, shrinkage when washing is negligible.
While hang-drying is preferable, you can also tumble dry on low.

What thread do you recommend?
For quilting, we like to use a high-quality cotton thread such as Aurifil.
For garment sewing, we prefer to use all-purpose polyester thread, such as Gütermann or Mettler
For EPP, our favorite thread is Bottom Line 60wt by Superior Threads.
What types of quilt batting do you recommend?
There are many wonderful batting options. With Liberty Tana Lawn®, we prefer to use natural fibers. Here are some of our favorite types of batting:

Cotton: Quilter’s Dream Cotton
Can you recommend a long arm quilter?
We send our sample quilts to the incredibly talented Melissa Kelley from Sew Shabby Quilting.
Shipping and Returns
Can I pick up my order if I live locally?
Absolutely! Use the code local_pickup at checkout to pick up your order. We will send you an email when your order is ready to arrange a pick up time. We're only available for pickups weekdays 9:30-4:30.
How quickly do you ship?
We are currently shipping in 1-5 business days, depending on current collection releases and store sales.
When can I expect my package to arrive?
We ship via USPS or UPS unless otherwise requested. USPS packages are currently arriving in 2-10 business days and UPS packages are delivering in 2-5 business days for domestic deliveries. Shipment delivery estimates do not include processing time, which is currently 1-5 business days.
My USPS package was marked as delivered but it has not arrived.
Sometimes USPS packages are marked delivered prior to the actual time of delivery. If you have not received it within the next 3 business days, please contact your local post office and direct postal carrier with your tracking number.
Do you overnight packages?
Yes! We can overnight your package via UPS Next Day Air. However, please be aware that overnighting your package will not expedite your package in the studio. If you are in a hurry, please contact us and we can give you a better idea of when we can get your package out.
Do you ship internationally?
Absolutely! You can choose your shipping options during checkout. We ship with both USPS and DHL.
How long will it take my package to arrive for international shipping?
DHL is currently arriving in 3-5 business days.
USPS is currently arriving in 3-4 weeks. Please note, there is no guaranteed shipping time with USPS. If you need your package in a guaranteed timely manner, please select DHL at checkout.
Will I have to pay customs on my package?
Customs and duties are not included in your shipping costs. Please be aware of any custom charges that may be applicable to your order before ordering. We are not responsible for customs, or any other fees, associated with sending a package internationally.
Can you mark an international package as "gift"?
We cannot mark a package as “gift” or declare a lower value on customs forms. It is our company policy to be truthful on all international declarations.
VAT for the United Kingdom
As of January 1st, 2021, DuckaDilly will collect VAT on all orders valued £135 (approximately $180) or less. For orders over £135, UK customers are responsible for making VAT payments. This is a new requirement due to Brexit.
Can I return purchased fabric?
We regret that fabric cannot be returned. We want you to be happy and enjoy your shopping experience with DuckaDilly. Please contact us if there is any problem with your purchase.
Can I return non-fabric items?
Non-fabric purchases, excluding books, can be returned within 30 days of delivery. Returned non-fabric items must be unopened and in their original condition. Books cannot be returned.
